Executive Director

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is looking for an experienced Executive Director! This position reports directly to our Board of Commissioners and is responsible for the overall operation, management, and strategic direction of the Housing Authority, ensuring the effective delivery of housing programs and services. This role involves overseeing operations, managing staff, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and fostering partnerships with community organizations.

Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree in public administration, or a related field, as well as CPHM and LIHTC certifications, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior position of a public housing authority or housing finance agency. Ideal candidates will also have prior experience working with a bargaining unit, various housing developments (HCV, PH, and LIHTC) as well as large-scale budgeting experience.

This is a full-time, exempt position. A Valid NH Driver’s License is required.

CHSP Resident Service Assistant

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a CHSP Resident Services Assistant. This candidate will be working directly with MHRA’s tenant population, and will perform housekeeping and food preparation services in a commercial kitchen consistent with CHSP program standards.

Qualified candidates must have two years’ experience as a housekeeper and experience with food preparation and kitchen/dining room operations is required. Interested candidates should have the ability to interact with seniors and persons with disabilities in a compassionate, diplomatic, positive and helpful manner. Must be able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries. Sensitivity to the needs of persons of diverse social, cultural and economic backgrounds is required. Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal as well as the ability to work under pressure. Being bilingual is preferred, but not required.

This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, non-exempt position.

Resident Activities Assistant

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Resident Activities Assistant. This position will plan and implement educational, social, emotional, cognitive and physically appropriate and beneficial programs for elderly and persons with disabilities and serve as a resource and advocate for residents of public and assisted housing for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Applicants should have the ability to interact with the elderly and/or persons with disabilities in a compassionate, diplomatic, positive and helpful manner as well as maintain sensitivity to the needs of persons of diverse social, cultural and economic backgrounds.

Must be proficient with computer skills and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideal candidates will be self-directed and have strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries. Bilingual preferred but not required.

This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, non-exempt position.

Accounts Payable Specialist

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist. This person will perform tasks that include collection, process and entering of payments, reconciling, collection of unpaid balances, and administering payment agreements.

Our ideal candidate will have a two-year accounting degree. Excellent mathematical, accounting, and computer skills, including Excel. Maintain accuracy and efficiency, attention to detail and the ability to successfully multi-task. Knowledge in vendor tax reporting and experience with PHA-WEB software.

This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, position.

Asset Supervisor - Maintenance

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is looking for an experienced Asset Supervisor-Maintenance to work closely with the Senior Asset Manager in properly managing MHRA’s public housing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit assets. This individual will directly oversee and coordinate various maintenance functions.

Our ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of building trades, including maintenance. This candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience leading and supervising staff, have prior exposure to a bargaining unit environment and understanding of contract language, the ability to work with and understand the inter-related function of occupancy management and maintenance of properties, the ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines. They will also have sensitivity to the needs of individuals from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds as well as have the ability to properly handle confidential information.

This is a full-time, 35-hour position. A Valid NH Driver’s License is required.

Asset Supervisor - Occupancy

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is looking for an experienced Asset Supervisor-Occupancy to work closely with the Senior Asset Manager in properly managing MHRA’s public housing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit assets.

Our ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum five years’ property management experience and a minimum of three years’ experience leading and supervising staff. Must have the ability to work with and understand the inter-related function of occupancy management and maintenance of properties; ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines; sensitivity to the needs of individuals from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds; ability to properly handle confidential information; knowledge of HUD regulations including fair housing, property management, housing assistance, tenant/landlord law.

Valid Driver’s License and proof of personal automobile insurange.

Senior Building Mechanical Technician/Gasfitter

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking to hire a Senior Building Mechanical Technician/Gasfitter. Under limited supervision, this position performs highly skilled work related to corrective and preventive maintenance, repairs and restorations of heating, ventilating, central air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical and related utility systems in Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority buildings and facilities. Performs highly skilled gas fitter duties related to the installation, service and repair of residential and non-residential gas appliances and any other gas utilization equipment.

Performs work involving heavy lifting, climbing of ladders and using staging; performs related work as required. May serve as lead person in the performance of duties, provide instruction and oversee work being performed by others. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and co-workers. The Senior Building Mechanical Technician/Gasfitter will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and perform related work as required.

This is a full-time, 40-hour position; Monday – Friday, 7am-3:30pm with a half-hour lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks. A Valid NH Driver’s License is Required.
