Executive Director
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is looking for an experienced Executive Director! This position reports directly to our Board of Commissioners and is responsible for the overall operation, management, and strategic direction of the Housing Authority, ensuring the effective delivery of housing programs and services. This role involves overseeing operations, managing staff, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and fostering partnerships with community organizations.
Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree in public administration, or a related field, as well as CPHM and LIHTC certifications, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior position of a public housing authority or housing finance agency. Ideal candidates will also have prior experience working with a bargaining unit, various housing developments (HCV, PH, and LIHTC) as well as large-scale budgeting experience.
This is a full-time, exempt position. A Valid NH Driver’s License is required.

Resident Activities Assistant
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Resident Activities Assistant. This position will plan and implement educational, social, emotional, cognitive and physically appropriate and beneficial programs for elderly and persons with disabilities and serve as a resource and advocate for residents of public and assisted housing for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Applicants should have the ability to interact with the elderly and/or persons with disabilities in a compassionate, diplomatic, positive and helpful manner as well as maintain sensitivity to the needs of persons of diverse social, cultural and economic backgrounds.
Must be proficient with computer skills and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideal candidates will be self-directed and have strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries. Bilingual preferred but not required.
This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, non-exempt position.
Must have flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend for special events.

Accounts Payable Specialist
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist. This person will perform tasks that include collection, process and entering of payments, reconciling, collection of unpaid balances, and administering payment agreements.
Our ideal candidate will have a two-year accounting degree. Excellent mathematical, accounting, and computer skills, including Excel. Maintain accuracy and efficiency, attention to detail and the ability to successfully multi-task. Knowledge in vendor tax reporting and experience with PHA-WEB software.
This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, position.

Housing Kiosk Receptionist
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Housing Kiosk Receptionist. This person should have strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal, and sensitivity to the needs of persons of diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. They should also have the ability to multi-task and stay organized. Must be familiar in the use of office equipment (including postage machine, computer, fax) and be able to operate multi-line telephone system while also maintaining confidentiality. Must have the ability to properly handle sensitive, confidential information.
In addition to the above, our ideal candidate will preferably have knowledge of Public Housing, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher programs, and fair housing laws. Bilingual preferred, but not required. Experience with creating and maintaining spreadsheets a plus.

Plumber/Gasfitter
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Plumber. This person will perform skilled work related to replacement, corrective, preventive maintenance, repairs, restorations, and installation of mechanical equipment, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and related systems.
Our ideal candidate will have four years of practical experience in the mechanical and plumbing profession related to plumbing and HVAC. Also, the candidate must possess a valid State of New Hampshire Master Plumbing License and State of New Hampshire Fuel Gas Fitters License with STN/STP endorsement.
This is a full-time, 40-hour work week position. A Valid Driver’s License is Required.

Assistant Property Manager
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring an Assistant Property Manager for our Public Housing Department. This person will process and screen applicants for eligibility, compute rent recertifications in accordance with HUD and MHRA regulations including all annual and interim rent changes. Additional tasks include communicating Authority policies, services, and requirements, including lease enforcement, safety, etc., as well as assisting the Property Manager with various functions.
Our ideal candidate will possess three years’ experience in customer service and/or office management. Property management experience is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Interested applicants should possess strong multi-tasking skills and be sensitive to the needs of persons with diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. Being bilingual is preferred, but not required.
