Senior Building Mechanical Technician/Gasfitter

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking to hire a Senior Building Mechanical Technician/Gasfitter. Under limited supervision, this position performs highly skilled work related to corrective and preventive maintenance, repairs and restorations of heating, ventilating, central air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical and related utility systems in Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority buildings and facilities. Performs highly skilled gas fitter duties related to the installation, service and repair of residential and non-residential gas appliances and any other gas utilization equipment.

Performs work involving heavy lifting, climbing of ladders and using staging; performs related work as required. May serve as lead person in the performance of duties, provide instruction and oversee work being performed by others. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors and co-workers. The Senior Building Mechanical Technician/Gasfitter will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and perform related work as required.

This is a full-time, 40-hour position; Monday – Friday, 7am-3:30pm with a half-hour lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks. A Valid NH Driver’s License is Required.

Asset Manager - Maintenance

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is looking for an experienced Asset Manager-Maintenance to work closely with the Senior Asset Manager in properly managing MHRA’s public housing and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit assets. This individual will directly oversee and coordinate various maintenance functions.

Our ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of building trades, including maintenance. This candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience leading and supervising staff, have prior exposure to a bargaining unit environment and understanding of contract language, the ability to work with and understand the inter-related function of occupancy management and maintenance of properties, the ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines. They will also have sensitivity to the needs of individuals from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds as well as have the ability to properly handle confidential information.

This is a full-time, 35-hour position. A Valid NH Driver’s License is required.

Resident Enrichment Program Assistant

Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Resident Enrichment Program Assistant. This position will plan and implement educational, social, emotional, cognitive and physically appropriate and beneficial programs for elderly and persons with disabilities and serve as a resource and advocate for residents of public and assisted housing for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Applicants should have the ability to interact with the elderly and/or persons with disabilities in a compassionate, diplomatic, positive and helpful manner as well as maintain sensitivity to the needs of persons of diverse social, cultural and economic backgrounds.

Qualified candidates will be CPR and First Aid certified or have the ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid within one year of hire. Must be proficient with computer skills and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideal candidates will be self-directed and have strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills. Must be able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries. Bilingual preferred but not required.

This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, non-exempt position.
Must have flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend for special events.
A Valid Driver’s License and Personal Auto Insurance is Required.
