Resident Activities & Engagement Coordinator
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Resident Activities and Engagement
Coordinator. This candidate will be working directly with MHRA’s tenant population and will plan and
implement educational, social, emotional, cognitive and physically appropriate and beneficial programs
for elderly and persons with disabilities. The candidate for this role will also serves as the primary
backup staff member for MHRA’s Youth Program.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two to three years related experience in recreational
program development for the elderly, persons with disabilities, and/or youth. The idea candidate will
have the ability to interact with the elderly, youth, and/or persons with disabilities in a compassionate,
diplomatic, positive and helpful manner. Must be able to work independently and maintain professional
boundaries. Candidates should have the ability to assess and address problems and concerns of lowincome residents, youth, and families. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, non-exempt position.
A valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance are required.

Service Coordination Specialist
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is hiring a Service Coordination Specialist to work
directly with MHRA’s tenant population. This role will be providing quality service coordination and
supporting our residents with a variety of services. The Service Coordination Specialist will educate and
assist residents on a continual basis regarding available services, MHRA policies, and understanding
tenancy obligations while encouraging residents to remain as independent as possible.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three to five years related experience in working directly
with the elderly, persons with disabilities, and/or families. Candidates should be comfortable with
spreadsheets and word documents. The ideal candidate will have the ability to interact with all residents in a compassionate, diplomatic, and helpful manner. Candidates should have the ability to approach work in a creative and analytical way. Must be able to work independently and maintain professional boundaries.
This is a full-time, 35-hour work week, non-exempt position.

HVAC Technician
Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking to hire a Senior Building Mechanical Technicial/Gas Fitter/HVAC Technician. Under limited supervision, this position performs highly skilled work related to corrective and preventive maintenance, repairs, and restorations of heating, ventilating, and central air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical, and related utility systems in Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority buildings and facilities. Performs highly skilled gas fitter duties related to the installation, service and repair of residential and non-residential gas appliances and any other gas utilization equipment.
Performs work involving heavy lifting, climbing of ladders, and using staging; performs related work as required. May serve as lead person in the performance of duties, provide instruction, and oversee work being performed by others. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and co-workers. The Senior Building Mechanical Technicial/Gas Fitter/HVAC Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and perform related work as required.
This is a full-time position; Monday – Friday, 7am-3:30pm with a half-hour lunch and two paid 15 minute breaks.
A Valid Driver’s License and Personal Auto Insurance is required.
